Desert Vista STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Leadership Academy.
We envision a future where Desert Vista students are equipped with the STEAM-based knowledge, creativity, and leadership skills necessary to drive positive change, solve complex challenges, and lead with confidence in their communities and our future industries.
Our mission is to empower individuals to apply creative and critical thinking through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education, fostering leadership skills and innovation. We aim to provide experiences that inspire problem-solving, collaboration, and growth in a rapidly evolving world.
Students enrolled in the Desert Vista STEAM Program will have the opportunity to participate in a unique academic program that includes coursework and hands-on field experiences’ in the areas of math, CTE technology, CTE engineering, science, art and math during their high school career. This is a great option for students who are interested in pursuing careers in these areas.
Desert Vista’s STEAM program promotes the importance of rigorous coursework, high school achievement, multidisciplinary skill sets, and values leadership. The goal of the program is to prepare students for college readiness in any major area of STEAM.
Students who complete the program will receive a distinctive STEAM cord, special recognition at graduation, and a certificate of completion. In addition, participants will be provided with a personalized letter of recommendation to support their postsecondary goals.
Any student interested in the biomedical, engineering, robotics, computer science, biological sciences, statistics, data analysis, or mathematical fields are encouraged to participate.
